Not every company who initiated the Quality Initiatives manage to implement it successfully. Some manage to breakthrough and went into a whole new level or practice, Some manage to sustain and improved but as time goes challenges arise and to the extreme some, they did not just failed to achieve the desired results but it was a backfire that caused the employee to lose their passion, their drive, their interest in any more initiatives.

That is when I couldn’t sleep for weeks cracking my head by asking my self what could be the reason for this to happen? If one can make it every company should be able to make it.

Finally, it striked me hard, I finally found out that the MAGIC ingredient that will make everybody effort "STICK”"(Work Together) as one.

OWNERSHIP is the FOUNDATION of culture and upon developing that skill, people will start to take their own initiative towards an action instead of being ordered to ensure the organization achieve the desired results and this happen

The Rise of SHIFTZ Management & Consultancy

In 2011, after understanding the magic ingredient, we decided to explore more! My team and I decided to conduct a survey to further understand more about companies.

As a result,
We then had visit and interview with 47 companies on their perspective on their implementation. In a majority of the companies, we discovered 3 common KEY findings

They DO not DO IT FOR REAL!!

They are

• NOT preparing documents for REAL – documents which could ease the job of others and get better process output
• NOT auditing for REAL – understand ACTUAL QMS performance and Drive for change
• NOT problem solving for REAL – understand the root cause(s) of problem, devising practical solutions and implementing them to make continuous improvements.

We then continue exploring the root cause and as expected, we discovered a common practice. Most of the organization individuals share a same thinking and this involves the management staff as well. They have this thinking where Quality Implementation – "Itu Susahkan Orang” and yet the implementation still goes on. It is still going on is because they have to comply with the requirements and its NOT because they want.

And that is how the cookie slowly crumble. As time passes, you will start to see one by one start to be reluctant to do it to not do it for real and lastly their motivation towards the system declines as time passes by.

That was when I identified that was a huge concern faced by certified companies. There was a huge urge in me that I have to find a method to rectify that concern before it gets worse. So I started understanding what could go wrong and that’s when I found out that there are companies who want to strive for better quality implementation but just DO NOT know how to do it.
Immediately with full of hope I then started engaging with 17 companies who want to strive for better Quality Implementation to rebuild the foundation of better Quality Implementation with the aim on enhancing their CAPABILITY and grow with them as a mentor.

Ultimately in 2014, I asked myself, when the sea of changes in the ISO 9001:2015 revision finally arrive, what will happen to companies Who think "Quality Itu Susahkan Orang” if they themselves are NOT ready?
How are they going to prepare themselves in term of MINDSET, readying their CAPABILITY to do it for REAL, and begin preparing a "Willing-to-change CULTURE”?

Finally, we found a way – SHIFTZOLUTION. It is purely our solution to work with companies to make a SHIFTZ in their management system implementation through better MINDSET, CAPABILITY, and a strong foundation in CULTURE.
